Your Dear Auntie hopes that you enjoyed the first edition of "Steve Said" Then and Now that was distributed throughout the County.

For those of you who did not see this revealing masterpiece, your Auntie will try to publish it for you later. 

(Auntie does ask for your patience as she attempts to overcome technical difficulties, she is a writer not a computer program wiz)

But now, Auntie will ask that you take a look at the brilliant article by Edie Johnson in this weeks Chronicle. And I do suggest that you read The Chronicle regularly, since they are doing a great job of covering all of the relevant issues here in Orange County. (You may get it on line at www.strausnews.com).

As far as Valley View, we have the County Executive's PROMISE that "residents of Valley View will remain residents of Valley View" (BTW- this press release mysteriously disappeared from the County website, but don't you worry, your Auntie has hard copies). And since Stevie Wonder is known for keeping his promises, we have nothing to worry about, right? After all, he kept his promises about annexation, the KJ pipeline and Bloomingburg.  (oh! I am sorry, that was an alternate universe).

Well, he does keep his promises to his friends. Jobs, jobs jobs! it is about the jobs! Remember his mantra on the campaign trial, (oops, I keep doing that) trail about jobs in Orange County? Well, little did we know that he meant for his friends. For example, Harry Porr is a recent hire by the CE. (he and Stevie worked together in Newburgh).

How many friends of Steve hired to work in County government can you name? Certainly they are all qualified for the positions for which they were hired. Ask to see their resumes! Oh wait, they don't have any.

Thank you for looking at my little blog. I hope to not only amuse you but also provide information and insight as to what is happening in Orange County. You do not have to look at Washington to see the way not to run government, all you have to do is look at Goshen!!! More to come...
