ADDENDUM: SATURDAY
STEVE SAID: “We need to look at this as if this was your home or your business,
what would you decided, and that is why I put this committee of eight
people to shadow the legislature and shadow the executive to make sure
we have the public’s input on this. I am optimistic
that we are going to move forward and Orange County is going to be a
better place when that decision is finally made.”
NEWSFLASH FOR STEVE!
"I put this committee of eight
people to shadow the legislature and shadow the executive"
Not
only are you doing an end run around the legislative branch, "shadowing
the legislature" may be seen as INTIMIDATION. And "shadowing the
executive"? Just what the heck does that mean? You formed a committee to follow you around? What are they doing? Picking up the garbage that you leave in your wake? Or do they blindly follow you to tell you how great you are like the rest of the sycophants with which you have surrounded yourself? (Whatever happened to those smart people that you supposedly had around, did Langdon eat them up? Or is Langdon supposed to be one of them? HA!)
And how, exactly does that ensure public input, Mr. County Executive?
Auntie Alibi - as you clearly know, our CE is nothing but smoke and mirrors.
ReplyDeleteHere's the Neuhaus record over six months:
1) Selling Valley View after tricking people during the campaign that he would save it.
2a) Promised, in a mailer, to "direct the County to revoke permits for the KJ pipeline."
2b) Promised, in the same mailer, to "direct the County Attorney to intervene in any litigation to annex lands."
2c) Promised, in the same mailer, to "condemn the pipeline."
2d) After all of these promises to stand up to KJ, how in the world (sarcasm) did Neuhaus get 100% of KJ's votes and why did he hire Langdon Chapman, the Town of Monroe (see: KJ's) attorney, as the county attorney? I feel sorry for United Monroe who had the wool pulled over their eyes.
NOTE: 2a-2c have all been campaign LIES, just like Valley View.
3) Spent over a million dollars on government center engineering and plans only to be, somehow, caught be surprise, over the building's historical designation (let's create a committee!). You're telling me the fed's decision came out of the blue?
4) Promised 1,000 jobs in 1,000 days (which, actually, would slow job growth in Orange County based on 2013 numbers) - where are we with that "goal"?
5) Why did Neuhaus send invitations to all of the county department heads to his post-election fundraiser in Dec 2013? If dept heads didn't show up, were they more likely to get fired under the new administration?
6) Neuhaus and co. claimed publicly that Langdon Chapman, upon taking the County Attorney position, would step down from any role in the OC Independence Party. I was [not] shocked to see that all that changed was Langdon's WIFE is the new county chair. Big change there.
Neuhaus, while very friendly to your face, is nothing more than a scheming, lying politician. They have a new chair, maybe the Dems can find someone good to run against him in a few years. In the meantime, perhaps Auntie Alibi can dig into some of the above questions.
as far as the government center goes, at least Phil Clark made some money for coming up with plans that he does not have to carry out.
ReplyDeleteAnd if he did send invites to a POLITICAL fundraiser to department heads, that is intimidation pure and simple!!!
Auntie, we hope you are looking into these things. Thanks!
