Public Service Announcements

Our County Executive is slowing down on his press releases, the last being about Hurricane Preparedness and who can argue with that?

BUT, the news from the week before, 05-23-14 County Executive Steve Neuhaus Presents: “This Week in Orange County” is another public service announcement and one that is of great importance.

“World Elder Abuse Awareness Day was launched in 2006 to shine a bright light on the victimization of seniors and how we can prevent abuse. This June Orange County once again recognizes World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and urges you to get the word out and take action to prevent abuse and neglect.”

Who can argue with that?

BUT, Auntie Alibi would like her dear nieces and nephews to consider this:

Isn’t it a form of Elder Abuse to throw seniors out of their homes, ala Valley View?

Now, we CAN argue with that…
