The Laconic Langdon

Langdon Chapman, the current county attorney and BFF’s with the County Executive, has quite a resume. His recent position as Ulster County Attorney (the very county government that he criticized recently-what will he say about Orange County when he leaves this post?) provided him with a paltry sum of $49K but that was not his only gig. Did you know that he has also been:

Town Attorney – Town of Monroe, Orange County
Town Attorney – Town of Stamford, Delaware County
Town Attorney – Town of Bovina, Delaware County
Deputy Town Attorney – Town of Mamakating, Sullivan County
Village Attorney – Village of Liberty, Sullivan County

In 2012, when he was employed by the NYS Senate (Senator John Bonacic) he was earning a crisp $96K (Ninety six thousand dollars!!!!) for what was essentially a part time job.

So now the luscious Langdon, who was also the chair of the county Independence Party (which many people join thinking that they are Independent) is now the Orange county attorney (Fun fact: Langdon’s wife is now the party chair) He recently provided the arguments for the county’s case in the Valley View case and what a bang up job!

He did not provide 2 key pieces of material (see previous post) to support the county’s case

He argued that the residents of Valley View had no legal standing to bring an article 78!!! No legal standing? Well, the judge made short work of that. Off course they have legal standing, they will  “suffer harm” are “directly affected” and the judge references “injury in fact” How ridiculous to say otherwise.

Based on his performance in this case it seems like he is Lazy Langdon.

Auntie and her team are glad that Langdon Chapman is not a criminal attorney, he would probably just plea bargain all of his cases.

The following is courtesy of the NY Liberty Coalition, thank you!
