Dear Nieces and Nephews, your Auntie has drafted a sample letter for you to send to your legislator, or better yet, ALL of the legislators, regarding the bogus budget! Just copy and paste, sign and send!

Dear Orange County Legislator:

The County Executive has presented his budget, one which we find is severely flawed, as pointed out by Legislator Anagnostakis. Mike’s five points indicate that that that information contained in Mr. Neuhaus’ budget is based on what is simply faulty math and a very bad premise.

We respectfully but strongly ask that you vote to FUND VALLEY VIEW FOR A FULL YEAR and to follow the LAW and common sense regarding budget cuts, the surplus and reserves. We do not believe that massive layoffs have to happen in order to do so.

If you choose to vote contrary to the will of your constituents, we will remember when election time draws near despite the fact that it is not in the near future.
