98th Assembly District News: "ALBANY, My Dream Come True"

  1. Heard him stuttering his Party line on the Steve Neuhaus radio show today on WTBQ. Oh boy!!!

  2. did you hear Stevie boy lob some insults at a current assemblyman? (without going as far as mentioning the assemblyman's name but criticizing the assemblyman for voicing his opinion on the most recent KJ grant-so we know who that is.) I wanted to vomit listening to those two! (They are both two bricks short of a load.)
I wish I could be a fly on the wall to see Karl's first day in Albany! Can you see him running around trying to find out where he is supposed to go? That would be funny!!!

  5. Karl has probably already been up to Albany on Deerpark's dime. He campaigned on their dime and was Nan's campaign manager on their dime so why not continue the trend?

Guessing that Rabbit already took him to Albany to show him around or will do so soon. She likely did that/will do that on the County's dime (just like the other Carl and Davey do with their County cars and gas for their never ending self promotion tours).

The 98th's last Assembly representative was totally useless and no more is expected by Brabenec except he will make a lot of noise so the voters think he is on the level but is not.

So does Karl now start campaigning for John Bonascic's Senate seat expected to be vacated in 2-years?

  6. Listening on WTBQ where KB was the guest for the 2nd week in a row and where SMN gave him the build up of a lifetime, cannot help remembering his other good friend who he once described as twins separated at birth by a few years. That would be none other than Dan Castricone who ran for the same Assembly seat in the 98th. Wonder what and how he feels now, being best buds and all. At least he had the guts to comment on a subject when asked, not like KB who only took pictures. He likes pictures.

  7. Sorry, but I don't agree regarding the comment that Annie Rabbitt was "totally useless." First off, in the NYS Legislature, unlike the federal counterpart, individual members have a limited amount of power and authority, especially after "member items" were ended by the Governor. Minority members of each house have even less power and ability to accomplish tasks.

Annie was in the minority in the Assembly. From my perspective on dealing with all sorts of legislators on all levels of government and on both sides of the aisle, did quite well. She was very big on constituent services and worked quite frequently with the other side of the aisle.

One thing she did, she managed to get the speed limit lowered on Pulaski Highway. That was an extremely difficult task, thanks to the speed limit being set by the DOT. She also set up flood control meetings, worked with NYSDOL Commissioner Rivera on an important issue involving farm labor, helped extensively with NY Rising grant application difficulties and on and on. In all of these issues she worked across the aisle as well.

She did the best she could, and actually did quite well, in the position she was in.

And I highly doubt she showed Karl around.
