Dear Nieces and
Nephews, as we forge ahead in 2015, your Auntie Alibi and the Team thought we
would prepare for what lies ahead (You know, the “Those who forget the past..”
type of thing) by starting off with a
little quiz remembering events of 2014. While your Auntie will not grade
your quiz directly, you will have a great deal of satisfaction AND will be one
of our nieces and nephews that are better prepared to combat corruption, the
ethically challenged and the merely incompetent. The good news is that the
elected officials who do not fall into one of those three categories, will be
better able to “do the job” when we help get those undesirable officials, out
of the way. So, without further ado, here we go!
10 Q Quiz:
All of the answers have
either been posted on Orange County Outlook (NY) by Auntie Alibi, referred to
in a posted link or reported in the general news media such as the Chronicle,
the Times Herald Record or the online news, www.midhudsonneus.com
Please note, the
answers will be posted next week, have fun!
1- Who said: “I just
authorized our ME’s office to teach at the college and we are also in talks
with Tony Danza to move our medical examiner’s office to the former Horton
Hospital site to allow a better facility than we have now, What better marriage
than to have students working with us. It’s going to be a cost-saving plan.”
2-Who is Tony Danza?
(Not the actor from “Taxi” or “Who’s the Boss”) and what is his relationship
with Focus Ventures?

Pascocello?
4-What is his

8- Which of our
legislators, L. Stephen Brescia or Katie Bonnelli said the following:
“Even if some people don’t believe $60 million, let’s say it is a $40
million gap, that’s huge, Four hundred jobs equates to $20 million dollars, so
there are also going to have to be unfilled positions. There are going to have
to be one-shots and other sources of revenue. I think we are faced with the dilemma
that we have to sell Valley View and try to save those jobs in the private
sector and save most of those jobs in the public sector.”
(“What?”)

committed to working to keep Valley View Nursing home open as a county-run

"What's wrong with you people?"

ReplyDeleteI've got the answer to #9!
ReplyDelete#9. Paul R, who posted that on his campaign website. Link: http://www.paulfororange.com/issues.php
He also tweeted the following prior to election day:
Paul Ruszkiewicz @PaulforOrange · 4 Nov 2013
#ValleyView: Work with @Cheney4Orange8 to keep it open and in County hands. Work w/Admin and unions to keep it running smoothly. #ocny #ld3
&
Paul Ruszkiewicz @PaulforOrange · 9 Sep 2013
#ValleyView: keep it open, one way or another. My grandfather, who was cared for there, would want it that way. #WTBQ #interview
Good answer! And yes he is one of the many legislators who campaigned on keeping Valley View County owned, so you are correct in that. But the exact quote comes from, believe it or not, Paul Ernenwien, of Catania, Mahon, Milligram & Rider law firm in Newburgh NY and Chairperson of the illegally formed LDC to sell Valley View!!! Ironic eh? Thanks for the info!!!
ReplyDelete9 is Brescia! Bonnelli is good at spewing party line stuff. And this is just rambling.
ReplyDeleteAuntie, that is totally fascinating because what is stated in question #9 is EXACTLY what is found on Paul R's campaign website (entire paragraph is found below).
ReplyDeleteSo, here are my questions, did Paul Erwin utter exactly what Ruszkiewicz said? Who said it first and how did it come about they both said the exact same thing? Paul R posted that comment early on in his campaign on his website.
Fascinating.
From Paul's campaign website:
Valley View Nursing Home
Valley View Nursing Home is an exceptional facility, and an important asset to the County. My own grandfather was a resident at Valley View for years, and I'm grateful for the excellent care he received during his time there.
I am committed to working to keep Valley View Nursing home open as a county-run facility as long as it is financially feasible, which I believe it is. With the new administrator, costs have come down and occupancy has gone up. The Legislature absolutely did the right thing by voting to fund Valley view for an additional year. It is projected that Valley View will still have to be supplemented approximately $14M from surplus funds, which is an improvement from $20-$22M the past few years. If we can continue in that positive direction, we can continue to keep Valley View as a county-run facility without issue.

What is fascinating is your kind way to correct your Auntie, who did indeed confuse the 2 Pauls. Paul Ernenwein said this about Valley View and the LDC: "These are some very good, decent people who have invested their time," Paul R. said the bit about keeping it county owned.
ReplyDeleteDarn .. I was actually hoping that both said the exact same thing ... lol ... that would have been totally wild!
ReplyDeleteAuntie, keep doing what you are doing and this nephew is beyond appreciative of your efforts!
Thank you!!!!!!!
