Senator Larkin Was Late

Dear Nieces and Nephews,

Senator Larkin was late. He was late to file his mid-year periodic financial report to NYS, a report filed by all candidates for public office that reveals who your donors were/are and monies paid out by your campaign committee.

He was late, and it is somewhat understandable since his Campaign Treasurer, CARMEN DUBALDI absconded with thousands in campaign funds. Until that was sorted, the Senator held off on the report but recently filed with the help of a new treasurer for whom he sought indemnification from prosecution as a result of Carmen’s actions.

LARKIN SAID “In June of this year, I noticed irregularities in our campaign account, including funds leaving the committee for transactions that were never made. As you would expect, I acted immediately and decisively, and took a number of steps to address this issue the moment it was brought to my attention”.*

Yes, you did take action and that is more than the others from whom Carmen also stole campaign funds: Rabbitt, Brescia and Diana.

The NYS Senator has called himself a “crime victim” and while that is technically true, the term does conjure up an image of something more, shall we say physically harmful like a mugging and seems a bit dramatic for a white collar crime. Perhaps, the phrase was used to elicit sympathy and perhaps it should, because when someone steals from you, it is a violation.

LARKIN SAID: “I do not regret the decision to fire my former campaign treasurer even though this action has been the cause of a deliberate political attack on me”.

IF there have been political attacks on you because of this, maybe it’s because you seemed to notice Carmen’s multiple misdeeds only when they were directed towards you.

Just ask the Democratic Former Council member from New Windsor. And all of the others he bullied.

  2. THESE Republicans were looking the other way. Many were not even aware of his activities so don't blame ALL Republicans.
Good decent people of all parties do not like such behavior.

  5. Since campaign funds are involved, I am surprised the US Attorney isn't involved yet or am I premature?

  6. I'm surprised at the number of Republicans elected in the Town of New Windsor, Dubaldi's home base, I guess they weren't aware of his activities?

  7. I wonder if Larkin is going to look into the debacle at Stewart Airport concerning the asbestos situation with the demolition of the old Army barracks?

  8. Why would Larkin squeal on his cronies?

  9. anyone ever hear of a case where so much money was taken from public funds and there were no charges brought - not even falsification of business records. and the suspect still holds his government job. all he had to do was give the money in question back. my guess is the suspect knows too much and is untouchable. everything's been sanitized and the 'victims' are mum. only the party boss speaks - the more they say the more will be held against them. there's more going on than meets the eye at this point.

  10. We may need Preet Bharara, US Attorney, to have a look see about these campaign funds that were stolen.
