Optimistic, Unrealistic or Misconduct?
Dear Nieces and Nephews:
County Executive Stephen Neuhaus has been very active but more subdued since his return. You might expect that his experience in Iraq would have given him a different perspective about what's important overall.
You are about to be extremely disappointed.
STEVE SAID:
"This is great news for Stewart Airport and our region. I’m glad to see that the plan includes marketing for the Hudson Valley, New York City and International travelers. With attractions in Orange County such as West Point, Woodbury Common and LEGOLAND in 2020, we have much to draw people. I will continue to work diligently with the Port Authority and Stewart Airport to make it easier for travelers to visit Orange County.”

Spending money on an International Arrivals Terminal for an airport with no international air carrier might be good for the Trades unions (led by Steve's friend, Todd Diorio) but how does it benefit the Residents of OC ?
Steve should remember that these residents, especially the ones who Voted, are his concern, not his never-ending fawning over Todd. Steve's lopsided loyalty is not only uncalled for, it circumvents impropriety. Or at least gives the appearance of such.
And then there is the much anticipated economic downturn, which just might influence people's spending patterns in regards to air travel, decreasing the need for a new terminal.
And speaking of Steve's "attractions" including LEGOLAND, THE POLLUTER

If Legoland can defy NYS and local law by polluting a stream or two, then certainly they may be allowed to divert one. Who cares about the Otterkill, the Greenhill Watershed or a reservior? Not our CE!
Our County Executive doesn't seem to care about drinking water quality, and if he did, no worry, he can always use Marketing!
A marketing plan will always solve your problem!!!
Steve Neuhaus reached out to Legoland just like he reached out to Great Wolf water parks, another dumb idea
ReplyDeleteUntil air fares at Stewart become competitive, the airport is going nowhere in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThere is one feature about Stewart you cannot change: its location. It is just not close enough to NYC to fulfill the CE's pipe dreams.
ReplyDeleteVisit OTTERKILL CREEK a Dead creek thank you LEGO LAND OUR GOOD NEIGHBOR.
ReplyDeleteAuntie great work thaks for all you do.
