Promises to remember on election day, will you vote for FOS?
THE NEUHAUS PROMISE:
Dear Nieces and Nephews
The Orange County officials and business leaders, who advocate for theme parks, claim they will be a great source of revenue for the county and local towns and villages and off course, promise job jobs jobs!
They truly believe (or pretend to do so) that thousands, if not millions, of tourists will drive up from NYC and suburbs (n.b. let’s face it, there IS NO viable mass transit option,) to enjoy the exciting plastic bricks of Legoland or the wacky waves of a Great Wolf water park; which Steve Neuhaus is still actively seeking for his home town of Chester.
“Neuhaus said that while Great Wolf has been looking at the area for about a year, the creation of a Legoland theme park in Orange County essentially sealed the deal. Legoland New York is to open in Goshen in 2020.”
Why in the world would anyone from NYC drive to Orange County when they can just hop over the GW Bridge and find "The American Dream"? (Auntie and the Team really dislike that name and think it is inappropriate for an over-blown, money-sucking amusement centre- we dream better that that!). Those so inclined to such amusements will go to the American Dream at the Meadowlands.
Just like those who are inclined towards gambling (not gaming, call it what it is) will go to the many gambling venues located in close proximity or in NYC.
Not to the Catskills of Sullivan County
Not to the Ramapo Valley
Not to the beautiful vistas of Orange County.
Which is why the outlook for the future if these “amusements”are built, will be the deterioration of our county.
And who will be left with the environmentally burdensome, UGLY tributes to greed? the residents of Orange County, the people who voted these jackals into office.
The same jackals who advocate warehouses on large vistas of open space during a time when food specialty crop and dairy farms are closing in NYS at an alarming rate.
These are the same jackassesals who advocate for 20th Century energy options like CPV and Danskammers new, full time operational, natural gas power plant.
These are the same jackals who advocate selling buffer land adjacent to the “quarry caves” with some of the most precious archaeological finds in the country to a for-profit MINING operation, Tilcon.

However,there is hope. The Friends of Steve, especially Todd, are doing well, even if you are not.
Yes, ultimately, there will be a water park in the Legoland site, Using the same faulty logic, the lego people will believe they can catch the “overflow”* from Great Wolf with another targeted age range.

It would seem the populace of OC does not have to vote for FOS because he APPOINTS all his FOS into office...like a reward for being on the list of the faithful.. for example Dan Castricone as the new Risk Management Supervisor. Maybe Auntie could do a flow chart of all who hold a position on Team Orange. Other counties are prospering by creating upscale cultural venues, and attracting big business with jobs that pay salaries that can sustain a decent living wage, which in turn attract families who want to stay in that county...not the low paying temporary jobs of LEGO, AMY's. The casino in Sullivan is failing...and in time OC will be nothing but a low class slum.
NO ONE REALLY CARES.
