WAH WAH!!! I didn’t get my way and now you’ll pay!

Auntie Alibi was waiting for the dust to settle. Our county Executive has been quite busy regarding many issues including Valley View and the Government Center.

As you all know, Justice Slobod ruled in favour of the ones who brought the Article 78 to her court seeking to invalidate the formation of the LDC to sell Valley View. In what appears almost as a retaliatory move, after receiving the disappointing news, Stevie Wonder announces the lay-offs. He initially plans on laying off 50-100 county workers going for over 600 by year’s end. His rationale is to offset the $60 million deficit, which he claims is his reason for selling Valley View. 

Didn’t we go over this already, Steve?

You have a deficit looming large (which still has not been proven) AND YOU TRY TO SELL Valley View, claiming that would do the trick. BUT you gave your executive team RAISES and then make cuts to the salaries of the ‘Regular Guys’.

Executive salaries up, Regular workers salaries down 

 Regular workers lay-offs ( but not the unfilled but funded positions.)

Shows your priorities, doesn’t it?

And subsequently, Steve, you try to play the ’blame game’ including Legislators Brescia and Berkman (who said that he knew nothing about it, BTW) by insinuating that it was their idea. (Note to Brescia: this would not be the first time Stevie threw a pal ‘under the bus’. Recall, if you will, Karlapoolza and how Steve confirmed that his good buddy, Karl was there when the invites were passed out, despite Karl claiming he knew nothing about it. He could do the same to you! Are you sure you want to stick your neck out for him?)

And to add insult to injury, Steve, YOU PLAN TO CONTINUE WITH THE VALLEY VIEW SALE!!!

Lazy Langdon is touting the idea because he thinks that because the court ruling doesn’t apply to the formation of the LDC only to the property transfer.  So he plans to continue with the sale, which is a property transfer. 

On what PLANET can you possibly think such lopsided reasoning would work? Do you think Justice Slobod is an idiot? Do you think Michael Sussman is a moron? (If you underestimate either one then you are the moron.)

And now we have Shawn Griffin of Harris Beach PLC, Mr. LDC and IDA lawyer setting the scene for the transfer through appeal or by re-vote of the legislature. SHAWN SAID: “...has done nothing more than hardened the resolve of the county and LDC to sell the nursing home to a qualified buyer.”

WAH, WAH!!!  I WILL GET MY WAY!!!

So we have two attorneys working for the County Executive who do not do their homework, present arguments in court without submitting any data to support their claims, set up an LDC illegally and we are supposed to just sit back and watch this triumvirate skip around the law and common decency? ARE YOU KIDDING?????

 

NOT ON OUR WATCH. 

As for the Government Center, remember Steve’s goal was to “have construction underway within six months”.

Could this be the next “WAH WAH”?

But what we really need to find out is WHY?
