Candidate Karl on the Radio AGAIN, Why talk about Annexation?
Why talk about
annexation?
Candidate Karl was on
the radio again last week; all the taglines were in full use: "Why punish success?"
"Government should do less" "Rugged Individualism" and so on.
KARL SAID: (facebook)
“The overwhelming number of signatures we
got proves that our campaign's message of reform is resonating with voters all
across the 98th Assembly District…”
Reform? What reform?
After multiple appearances on the radio, not once did Karl mention what that
reform actually is or HOW to do anything. All he does is repeat catchphrases
and buzzwords.
Karl did mention the
1978 California proposition that had an interesting way of keeping down
property taxes aka "Prop 13". California is somewhat unique as a State
government in that they have this type of "direct" voting by the
electorate instead of via their elected representatives. This type of
initiative and referendum is not the method of passing law in NY. Perhaps, Professor
Brabenec, a SUNY Orange Adjunct Professor who instructs young minds in local
government studies, should attend summer school for
remedial classes.
After a careful
review of the Initiative and referendum issue, Auntie and the Team have come to
the following conclusion: This “Town Hall” or direct representation type of government
works well with smaller populations to make sure everyone has a voice; Auntie
and the team can see a place for Initiatives and referenda perhaps, on the
Village/Town level. However, when the population increases, logistically, it is
more difficult to function in this way, especially for routine matters. Also,
we see this style of government with MORE potential for abuse than the
democratic republic, due to the potential for well-funded, special interests
groups to push through referenda favorable to them, such as the casino lobby.
And there are none of the benefits of the legislative process, where you may
correct language errors, plan for funding of the proposition and correct the
mistakes which may lead to unintended consequences.
Perhaps,
a mix, whereby direct referendum is the exception not the norm, is best. (One
with RECALL capabilities.)
This “mix” is what we
have now in NY! In his exuberance to find a way to cut property taxes, perhaps
Candidate Karl overlooked the fact that we do not have the initiative and
referenda method of government in NY that they have in California and the other
25 States.
As a conservative, Candidate Karl would
appreciate the following reviews of prop 13:
During his radio
appearance Karl made NO Mention of the ANNEXATION issue!!! Why do that when you
can talk about issues that are less controversial? After all, without even
thinking, most people don’t want to pay higher taxes, so this issue doesn’t
involve taking a stand.
Will you take a stand
on the Annexation issue Karl? Do you have that kind of bravery?
Or will you just
avoid the issue to ensure getting KJ votes?
"Government
should do less" In your case,
Karl, we agree. (And watch out for those blisters on your fingers…)
Buzzwords, even back
then.

Today on WTBQ..Karl was asked his views on the "Annexation,"
Karls answer was cagey. He seems to think that the annexation is local. That is true. But the force behind is is STATE WIDE....using every local politician(that will comply with their agenda) between NYC and Albany to pervert the system. As such the constitutents do need know what the candidates think on this "Annexation," that amounts to perversion of the rules of law on many levels. my .02
Vote for karl brabinec, endorsed by EMMET KELLY.

We are all talking about the Annexation in Monroe!. Perhaps Uncle Karl should meander into Monroe this weekend during the Carnival and speak about this unimportant event that will annihilate the Town of Monroe and County of Orange!
unimportant? Is he really thinking he can skate by the issue?
Annexation CANNOT happen it will DESTROY Monroe and the surrounding areas. We need to elect someone who will change the annexation law, which is a state law btw.
On a show broadcast on WTBQ yesterday where Karl was a guest, he refused to answer a caller's question on his position regarding the Annexation in Monroe, stating that 1) this was not on the agenda he was speaking about today "Regulations of Businesses and How They Affect You". 2) Stated this was a much too complex situation and involved other agencies. I do not remember him stating ahead of time that he was not taking any questions not specific to his topic, found it even more insulting when Nan Hayworth called in (or was she privately texted so no one else could call in) and the two being such 'good friends' she had an open mike to campaign and flaunt all her good deeds. Next call in was Sheriff DuBois to talk about the importance of his OFFICE (he had to correct Karl who keeps referring to the Sheriff's DEPT.) so all calls were off subject. So who is fooling who. We have two candidates for the same District, both good friends of our CE. One is very outspoken about the Annexation and is drawing major support from the citizens of Monroe, and Mr. Karl here is courting the KJ BLOC vote. Guess who will win ???? Karl, skating the issue, will need sharper blades.
google emmet kelly?
