And why would you be surprised only one of them can do any thinking?

It is a shame we have to wait 3 yrs. to get the ones who drank the Kool-Aid out of office. I know exactly which ones and so does the rest of OC by now. But we still have to pay their legacy costs. Isn't that a kick in the head.

Mike A. or Skoufis for CE. Either would get my vote in a heartbeat over King Neuhaus.

Want to save money, have these "officials" use their personal vehicles and their own gas when they make their rounds inside and OUTSIDE of the County on their self-promotion tours. Just look at their Facebook pages, some like our Sheriff are all over the place and mostly on our dime. Also time to take some of the County take-home cars away. How many actually respond to real emergencies? Instead we pay for their gas, maintenance, tolls, etc. when they are on personal business or self-promotion tours. Enough is enough! We pay their high salaries and benefits so isn't that enough? The lowly paid rank and file employees have to use their own vehicles and pay their own way, about time the upper management does too.

Maybe they should look to stopping the overtime that has been going out to many in the upper management in the last few years in order to pad their already high paychecks or pad their pensions. The salaries are listed on the State's web site and some of them are unbelievable and not at all reasonable.

How many high ranking County officials are double-dipping? Not only are the select few receiving very high paychecks, they are also receiving their state pension checks. Maybe they should give some of it back, or maybe they should be the one's laid off? Instead of looking at those making the $100,000+ salaries, they threaten the jobs of the lowly worker, the real backbone of the workforce. Maybe we are a little to top heavy?

Also instead of threatening jobs, look at unloading some of the County property. Are the golf courses profitable? Privatize the golf courses and sell of some of the other property so that they return to the tax rolls.

They need to stop kicking the little guy. These is so much waste in County government. Cut the waste and you will not only save a lot of money, you will also save jobs and improve services.

Why is it we sometimes pay the salaries to these elected officials when they spend more time running for reelection or for another office instead of doing the job that they were elected to do? How well was Steve running Chester when he ran for the OCE position? How well was Karl running Deerpark when he was managing Nan's campaign 2 years ago or his run for the Assembly seat during the 12 months? Yet those municipalities paid their fulltime salaries and benefits.
