  1. Our erudite teachers have made sure that American youth have no idea what the Constitution is all about. The most important document in their lives. And, the predator politicians like it that way, they make for easy taxpayer prey.

  2. Public education needs to include Constitutional Law and the history of the whole process. Local government is a disgrace in many towns. Have you ever been to a New Windsor town board meeting? Just one example. Our founding fathers would be saddened by so much.

  5. It is a shame when the youth of today can recite the words verbatim to the latest Rap songs but do not bother to know their rights under the Constitution. These words are more important to their lives than making Beyonce and her husband rich. Ignorance seems to be bliss and our politicians like it this way. Makes the next generation easier to control.

  6. Not long ago, Sandra Day O'Connor wrote an article that starts with:

"Some people question whether the US Constitution lives up to the needs of modern citizens. I think a fairer question is whether modern citizens- We the people- are living up to the needs of our Constitution. Our government relies on good citizens. To be a good citizen, you need to know how our government works. And to do that, you need to know the Constitution."

And if some do not know who Sandra Day O'Connor is, that is really sad.

  7. Wow, I didn't give enough credit to Sandra D. That is profound!
I have been to a few town hall meetings in my time and now understand why in the FF days you had to be a land owner to hold office. YOU HAVE TO BE EDUCATED TO RUN establishments. You have to have more than a big mouth to be able to run a town. 99% of who is running towns are nothing but big mouths, running things ad hoc because they have no idea what the laws are. They rely on the town lawyers who for their OWN political benefit MISLEAD them. One such lawyer that is good at doing that is Bonacic. Jimbo Purcell is nothing but a hoodrat and takes in what Boancic says hook line and sinker, in the meantime Boancic gets his marching orders from the Rebbe. So wonder no more why "Monroe" is at the epicenter of all OC woes. "Bonacic" and his merry band of idiots in the village/town hall.
