On Friday March 18^th, an article by Mr. McKenna appeared in the Times Herald Record (THR) on page 7, about the FBI “visiting” the Village of Kiryas Joel because they were executing search warrants.

“Search warrants, Auntie?” you query.

Search Warrants for FRAUD. It appears that some vendors/businesses in those municipalities “Misappropriated” funds from the Federal Government’s E-Rate program meant to be allocated for internet access improvement and other programs in schools.

Satmar do not use the internet, allegedly.

This execution of search warrants on FRAUD charges was BIG news and made all of the big media outlets including CBS. ABC in NYC, the NY Post and even Vos iz neias? But in Orange County, where the FBI conducted the searches, it was on page 7. Yes, in the THR, it was on page 7.

If it were a minority person from Middletown or Newburgh, busted on welfare fraud charges  in an OCDA “sweep”. it would be Front Page News. (For amounts well under $11.2 Million). 

                                 

The FBI executed search warrants at the following addresses:

In Orange County: Fillmore Court KJ and Zlotchev Way KJ

                                                                                                                 

In neighboring Rockland County*:

21 and 29 Robert Pitt Drive Monsey;161 Rt. 59 Monsey; 386 Rt. 59 Airmont

And yeshivas at: 93, 95 and 97 Highview Ave Monsey* “…all converted single-family homes.”

                                            

22 separate locations in Rockland were subjected to search warrants.

And there is some potential for addresses in Brooklyn as well!

Sandy Eller from Vos iz Neias reports (excerpts):

“Questions were raised by both The Jewish Week and The Forward in 2013 about the high rate of E-Rate dollars being allocated to Jewish schools, many of whom forbid internet usage.

The Jewish Week reported that an inspector for the Federal Communications Commission’s Office of Inspector General investigated $1 million of technology purchases by the United Talmudic Academy that were subsidized by the program in 1999. While the investigation recommended that $900,000 of the funding be returned because of major violations, no reimbursements were ever made.

…“The raid comes in the shadow of last week’s report that as many as 50 people in Ramapo and Clarkstown, most of whom are elected officials, will be brought up on federal indictments.

The FBI said in a statement “Today, the FBI conducted searches in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation.  If and when charges are filed, they will eventually become public.  This remains an ongoing matter, and we are unable to provide any additional information at this time.”

Sandy Eller reports Sunday (excerpt):

 “The online E-Rate database lists only seven of the many private schools in Kiryas Joel as program participants, with no raids taking place at the top three E-Rate recipients in the village, United Talmudical Academy, Congregation Bnai Joel and Sheri Torah, which received over $11.2 million in federal funding under the program over the last 18 years.

Many questions have been raised, however, about why schools that vehemently oppose computers and internet have been recipients of technology funding.”

An emailed statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York says, “Yesterday, the FBI, working with our office, conducted searches in connection with an ongoing fraud investigation.  If and when charges are filed, they will eventually become public.  This remains an ongoing matter, and we are unable to provide any additional information at this time.”

FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD!

There appears to be a preponderance of alleged fraud amoungst the Satmar sect et al,

For example, a few months back the mortgage fraud case in KJ and Rockland County and numerous FBI search warrants in Bloomingburg re: election fraud, with results pending. And the tax exempt status of the commercial shopping center in KJ claiming an undeserved tax exemption, ignored by the local and county assessors for, how long?

 And now this.

We need an investigation by the US Attorney’s office into all of Federal and State grants, loans and tax exemptions received by KJ and Ramapo.

And not only should the US Attorney’s office audit these monies given to these recipients, they should also look into the Political Enablers, the Politicians in office who make this all possible.

We wonder if Preet Bharara plays golf?

SYMPATICARE, LLC DOS ID #: 4659730 Shalom Braunstein (Monsey) aka Summit Park Acquisition Group-He supposedly was buying Summit Park Nursing Home in Rockland- deal fell through and now Summit park is CLOSED . Something about not making the down payment...

FOCUS VENTURES LLC DOS ID #: 3976171 Joseph Zupnik (Airmont) who is teaming up with TUORO COLLEGE in Middletown for a "continuum of care" from active senior living to nursing home.

Both were bidders for VALLEY VIEW!!! (please refer to Aunties post in August 2014)

Now we are not saying that they were being investigated in this matter, but is a strange coincidence, isn’t it?
