All Is Well
Dear Nieces and Nephews:
All is well! Did you really expect different results? While there were a few surprises in the legislative races, things went pretty much as expected. While the Trump card (sorry we could not resist) affected things in Westchester County, in this County of Orange where the majority of voters supported Mr. Trump, we did not really expect much else.
And we will have a new town called Palm Tree, thanks to the cleverly crafted messaging from Emily Convers and Untied Monroe. Tony Cardone, the New Town of Monroe Supervisor, has already adopted his political swagger! (Although one of Aunties' Untied Monroe Team noticed it months before the election!)
Like the pendulum that swings from right to left, left to right, there is a time in the political season when it is “in the middle” and the least destructive, it is at that time when the good people should attempt to make their mark: either run for office, push for needed legislation and generally make inroads into government, to ensure that it IS a government “of the people, by the people and for the people”.
This just isn’t that time. But you need to be ready when it is!
And besides, there is good news!!!!
FOUR MORE YEARS OF AUNTIE ALIBI AND THE TEAM! Steve and Team Orange have virtually guaranteed it (and possibly ten more years, if Billy manages to stay in judicial office that long.) And the Team has grown to help your Auntie with the “chores”.
And now, generously provided by the County Executive himself:
STEVE SAID: “You need to do two things to win a campaign – have a very strong work ethic, which our volunteers and I do, and to have the right message for people and keeping the taxes down, bringing in new jobs, being very good with emergency management, two perfect scores – first time in history; those resonate with people,”

Great job by United Monroe, helping to empower Monroe republicans and the County GOP. Lets see- McWatters, Castricone, McGinn, and Cardone. Lets not forget Monroe's newest legislator and friend of Tony Cardone Peter Tuohy, who ran on the coattails of United Monroe by enlisting a number of their active volunteers who publicly supported his bid. Another great job by "Orange is the New Bloc" for publishing facebook posts to their 4,000+ followers in which they bashed Roseann Sullivan and defended Kate Bonelli (who claimed victory yesterday thanks to the KJ bloc vote). Who are the real winners here? Monroe and OC residents or the Orange County republican party?
Thanks Auntie, I tried to get the message to voters about Valley and the legislative supermajority before the election but the THR chose ONLY to print my LTE in their online version. This letter never made it to the print version. I guess our only way to stop this sale/closure after 1/1/18 is a permissive referendum.

It is amazing how this election played out. Almost like the Russians controlled the election (joke). But so ironic that every decent candidate lost to the mighty Republican machine, all friends of friends of friends. And then we have the infamous ones who ran unopposed and should have been run out of town. It is going to be an interesting 4-yrs. as you said Auntie, and I look forward to your research. Maybe you should have a special team at your disposal like they do, to follow and stalk. Hear someone has interesting evidence out there on tapes and videos. Seems they love mint juleps too.

Funny how Steve portrayed the Democrat as the boogie man because he allegedly had the support of KJ, yet looking at Election Night photos on the TH-R site & what do you see in the background?????
Unfortunately more of the lying nonsense a year from now when Steve's sleezy buddy Brabenec runs for re-election. Maybe our Democratic County Executive candidate should consider running for the Assembly seat? He would get my vote!
Ah, the YR's are now middle aged men still probably acting like the young morons they were then. Steve is keeping his friends close to him, because ????
And what a decent campaign that Democrat ran, and did you notice how over qualified he is for the job as CE. He made a certain CE look like he belongs in kindergarten. After all that is why he must surround himself with all the smart people.
I think this Democrat could win any race he set his mind to, and I would vote for him in a heartbeat. The sky is the limit for him.
Am fairly new in this county, in this village. When the real estate people drive you around politics is not exactly the topic. Schools, kids, church, dog groomer and what we saw we liked. Now and thanks to this blog my family and I are sort of sorry we ever came to settle in this hateful place. Ignorance was bliss. We liked the young candidates with their good bright plans for the future, and saving the town from the hustle and bustle of progress as they call it. But now it will be all gone. Guess we should have been more involved at the meetings at 3:30 in the afternoon. Any suggestions for a good moving company to hire. Thanks for the education bloggers.
