KJ WELL PUBLIC HEARINGS
Emotional...
There’s that word again.
Your Auntie was there and she heard
it.
The lawyer representing the DEC
(referred to as “Judge”) was not too happy when people applauded for some of
the speakers. The "Judge" stated that she knows that this is an “emotional” issue but
would appreciate if the audience would hold their applause.
No one speaking was being emotional
and the audience was not unruly or emotional. They were merely showing support
for what was being said.
What is the issue? The issue is that
the Village of Kiryas Joel is seeking a permit for the Mountainville Well. This
well is to be the mandatory back-up for their hook-up to the pipeline. BUT as a
few speakers pointed out, this application will result in a combined permit
which will allow for water withdrawal of over 2 million gallons per day!!!! And
the pipeline that the Village is installing, 24” instead of the 18” APPROVED
pipe allows for over 4 million gallons per day!!! And how is KJ paying for this
pipeline? Through the annexation process by extorting money from the people in
the area to be annexed.
Auntie Alibi was impressed with most
of the speakers in both segments of the public hearing: they had their facts,
figures and references and knew what they talking about.
Did you know that the Village of
Kiryas Joel was born back in the 70’s when 14 buildings were constructed not
“up to code” and without the proper permits?
Obviously no one told them to take
the buildings down, start over and follow the law.
Auntie thinks the people in
Bloomingburg are correct to make sure everyone follows the law.
Otherwise, they might wind up with
discards from a chicken plant in their streams.
Can’t imagine why
Bloomingberg doesn’t want to look like this.
In English: New
Satmar Village Planned for upstate New York
P.S. Have you looked at how much property the real estate arm of KJ owns, all over Orange County???It's not just Monroe anymore!!!
