In this video, the Under Sheriff is engaged in a lively encounter with
Legislator Simmons regarding the pistol permit process. The Under Sheriff wants complete control over the process.
Mr. Simmons thinks that is a bad idea.
The Under Sheriff Kenneth Jones wants to change the requirements for the permit classes and the instructor qualifications (in an apparent attempt to get his "friend" a job.)
Mr. Simmons thinks that's bad idea.
Too much power in one person's hands; no matter who the person is.
Kudos to Mr. Simmons.

The message is wear latex gloves at all times least your prints show up at a crime scene you were never at SCARY STUFF.
Jones' girlfriend is 1 of the range officers...., yes they started teaching the course in May but that was to take care of his girlfriend, so she has a job. Conflict of interest? What does Karen Jones think of this? Great job Mr. Simmons standing up to that bully! Mr. Simmons obviously is smelling a rat. Not the first time he stood up against Team Orange.
Legislature Simmons is showing independence and is thinking for the people. Empire building is what is going on here but at what cost?
Now remind me who is the sheriff again looks like Sheriff Carl is M.I.A. while his Under Sheriff runs unchecked? Did Sheriff Carl inteview or approve of Mrs. Sheryl Thomas's being employed by HIM?

Ho yes he can be very hostile when you don't agree with him. One only has to go back to the days when Kenny was on the Port Jervis school board and the voters in PJ ran him and his cohorts out of town during the school board elections. I feel sorry for Cheryl if she and he decide to part ways; he is a very bad man, vindictive, mean and nasty to put it mildly.
One of his favorite comments when somebody opposes him, "I'll crush them".
Carl, nah, he don't run the show, KT does. Carl was probably out cruising with his county car on his never ending re-election campaign. He is such the social butterfly but why not, he is not paying for the gas. Carl just loves that camera.
Or maybe Carl had a parade to march in. Him and his deputies like to go parades especially in NYC, but hey, we will pay for the gas, tolls, etc. It is not like the county is in a financial crisis or anything.
Self promotion is what Carl is really good at doing. KT is the boss at the OCJ, not Carl.
Watch when Jonesy rocks back and forth in his chair. It is when he is getting annoyed. How dare the legislator not bow down to him. Ain't nobody better than Jonesy, just ask him but make sure you have a lot of time because Jonsey loves to hear himself talk.
