Dear Nieces and Nephews, On Friday, Supreme Court Justice Cahill of Ulster County (any relation to Assemblyman Kevin Cahill?)
heard arguments relative to the Orange County Government Center. One of the arguments
presented by the attorney for the three plaintiffs, was to obtain a temporary
restraining order to stop the demolition of the government center. Basically, to
stop the “overhaul and expansion” of this Paul Rudolph building.
“The county plans
to tear down one of three buildings in the 45-year-old complex and strip the
other two to their concrete frames.” http://www.recordonline.com/article/20150410/NEWS/150419896/
That is the county’s version of a “renovation”.
Sounds
like a “demolition” to Auntie and the Team.
And more from the article by Chris McKenna: “State Supreme Court Justice Christopher
Cahill denied attorney Michael Sussman's request for a temporary restraining
order that would have prevented any work on the Government Center, but did so
with the county's assurance that no major demolition would start before
July 1.”
And yet, the “asbestos work” which they can do now, involves “getting inside the interior walls and the roof” (Nothing
demolishing about that!) and this was confirmed by the Senior Assistant County
Attorney, Hyun Chin Kim. (Where is
Langdon Chapman, in Sullivan County perhaps?)
And the County’s assurances? How much is that worth? About
two Valley Views, a KJ Pipeline and a Camp LaGuardia! County assurances? Effectively
there are no constraints on the county and if they did start demolishing the
OC Government Center, there would be no way to stop it. So, Hyun Chin Kim can
give all the assurances she likes; those assurances are as valuable as Steve
Neuhaus’ campaign promises.
And there is something else.
Surprise! According to ancestry.gov*, the repository for the connections between Orange County’s power families,
Hyun Chin Kim is married to none other than Paulie Ernenwein of the law firm, Catania,
Mahon, Milligram & Rider, PLLC. Paulie, as chairman, ignored a Supreme Court order and continued to operate the Orange
Valley View LDC. If Ms. Kim, on behalf of the county, operates in the same way as her husband, we might
as well kiss the building goodbye.
… Hyun Chin is an Assistant County Attorney in Orange
County.
(*please
note: don’t go looking for it, ancestry.gov is the team’s fun way of referring
to all of the politically-incestuous personages in the county; it is an
internal list and not to be confused with ancestry.com)
And guess whose “roll offs” are at the site right now,
Jim Taylor's! Wasn’t he Steve Nehaus’ one time employer and current best bud? We can be assured
that old Jimmy boy will listen to the judge and not Steve. Yes, that’s right, there will be no “Whoops,
sorry about that, I guess I accidentally knocked a wall down." And, of course
there was a BID put out for this contract, right? It couldn’t be a case of giving a
contract to the County Execs buddy, could it?
Why is this still news? Because $74+ million is always
news, especially If it gets into the wrong hands…
and most of all, it's OUR money!!!
...
Is it correct to say then that in OC we have an incestuous political administration, and if the inbreeding is permitted to continue we can expect our dollars to be handed to the favorite child.
ReplyDeleteWow that really says it!
