KJ: More ENVIRONMENTAL NEWS YOU CAN USE
Dear Nieces and Nephews,
A member of Auntie’s network
sent this public/legal notice to the Team. We found it to be very interesting
and have pointed out a few tidbits for you.We ask that you take a look to see
what you may glean from this notice, tucked on the left hand page, 18D in
Friday’s Times Herald Record, 7-17-15. We apologize for the poor
reproduction; if you do not find it legible then refer to the print edition
referenced above; you will not find it on-line. (Perhaps the laws that require
public notices should be updated to the 21st Century and the
law should also require ALL municipalities to have a website)
NEPA, 42 USC 4321 is
Federal Law which basically applies to Federal Agencies and we see no evidence
of complying with the more updated NYS-SEQRA. Doesn’t a project of this
magnitude require SEQR? http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6465.html
Auntie asks the
environmental lawyers to look further into this mishegoss and would like to
point out that this too, may involve politicians that can be bought.
Ask yourselves, What
permits are necessary for this type of project and who issues them?
Could this possible be a
case of MORE FUNDING for the Village of Kiryas Joel based on an event that has
not yet happened? And isn’t interesting that the Village determined that they
do not have to prepare an environmental impact statement?
"... Village's pending water system
improvement..." could that be the KJ Pipeline?
And look at how this is tied into Annexation...
