WESTERN NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE (now University) SCHOOL OF LAW
SOME DISTINGUISHED
ALUMNI:
Catherine Molly
Bartlett Deprospo- local Acting Supreme Court judge, she was appointed to
the Court of Claims by former Govenor Pataki and is waiting to hear from Andrew
Cuomo for reappointment. (Don’t hold your breath Catie!!! If Andrew gets wind
of your judicial record while you were in Rockland County, he definitely won’t
reappoint you if he wants to get re-elected.) And Catherine’s record in Orange
County isn’t so great, in Auntie’s opinion, see this: http://www.nycourts.gov/courts/ad2/calendar/webcal/decisions/2014/D40691.pdf
and this:
Just some
interesting reading for you, dear nieces and nephews!
Paul Ernenwein
the Newburgh lawyer, chair of a non-existent board where he ignores Judges Rulings.
(see previous post, “A Tale of Two Lawyers”)
From Newburgh Restoration: http://newburghrestoration.com/blog/2013/02/28/meet-a-newburgher-paul-ernenwein-and-newburgh-schools/ Feb 2013
“I am a local
practicing attorney. A litigator with Tarshis, Catania, Liberth and Milligram
PLLC here in Newburgh. I attended
Newburgh Free Academy (NFA), Albany University and Western New England School
of Law. I then moved to NYC and was a Bronx Prosecutor, an ADA in the Bronx from
1995-2000. My wife Hyun Chin graduated
from Vassar College, Temple Law School and then moved to NYC to become a Bronx Prosecutor where we met. She is Korean American, grew up in
Philadelphia, PA. Hyun Chin is an
Assistant County Attorney in Orange County.” (His wife works for Hoovler? )
Langdon C.
Chapman, no longer laconic, the now Loquacious Langdon (after his radio
appearance last week, where he criticized elected officials who disagreed with
the directive he has given the Steve regime) has made critical
statements of former clients AND Judges as well. This demonstrates his stunted
thought process and failed judgment. And
he is "advising" Stevie Thunder. His former client was the Ulster County
Legislature and there was some controversy about his appointment, or rather the
appointment of his law firm: Bonacic, Krahulik, Cuddeback, McMahon and Brady. For the full story go to: http://www.dailyfreeman.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?avis=DF&date=20120322&category=NEWS&lopenr=303229963&Ref=AR&profile=1030040&template=printart
Excerpt below:
“The appointment of
Chapman was met with some controversy by Democrats and others upset that he
doesn't live in Ulster County and his connection to the Independence Party. Chapman
is the former chairman of the Orange County Independence Party. (His wife succeeded him as
Chair-Auntie)
Ulster County
Legislature Chairwoman Terry Bernardo's husband, Len, is chairman of the Ulster
County Independence Party.”
John E Sweeney
former Congressman in NY's 20th district, Home of Adirondack Optics/PistolCam.
He was the recipient of campaign monies from Terry Gordon of PistolCam fame
(the joke of a product pushed by...wait for it...William Deprospo!) Adirondack
Optics was supposedly going to create a hundred or so jobs in return for grant monies, but in reality
did not even create 25 jobs since PistolCam was actually made in the Czech
Republic. Sweeney himself is quite a character, having been cited by CREW (Citizens
for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington) as one of the most corrupt
politicians in 2006 (Auntie usually doesn’t accept the word of an organization
as fact just because they are non-profit; however, they cite proof sources and
provide documentation, so we will share that information). For example, look at
this junket to Lake Placid, taken on
the taxpayers’ dime. There is no mention of actual congressional business in
the agenda. http://www.citizensforethics.org/page/-/PDFs/Legal/Letters/Rep_Sweeney_Lake_Placid_Olymic_Trip_Agenda.pdf?nocdn=1
There were more
trips, to the Caribbean, sponsored by Allen Stanford (another story in itself)
to “promote relations” with Caribbean nations. The former congressman was also
involved in domestic violence, improper fundraising and DWI’s, one which
included a 24 year old woman sitting on his lap while he was driving. (Albany Times Union) So much
for Driver’s Ed.
Michael Charles
Green currently Executive Deputy Commissioner of the New York State
Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS). A former Republican, his
nomination by President Obama to the US District Court was blocked by
Republicans. He is a former Monroe County District Attorney. One of the initiatives
from his office is:
“New York State sponsors training for law
enforcement to combat overdoses from heroin, other opioids” A commendable
effort that involves…HEROIN!!! Heroin? Where is DAVID HOOVLER??? Would Michael look into the shenanigans and
hijinks of his fellow alumni, here in Orange County and in the 20th Congressional
District?
Do some
people become lawyers not because they love the law, but because they want to
learn how to skirt around it? What do you think?
Perhaps Auntie
Alibi and her team will be invited to next alumni-palooza party to be held in
Springfield or Boston.
Go Mass.!
WORD OF THE DAY:
UNETHICAL 1. lacking moral principles; unwilling to
adhere to proper rules of conduct.
2. not in accord with the standards of a profession

HOLY cow Auntie you sure do your due diligence. Keep up your good public service informing the UNINFORMED OF ORANGE CO.
Thanks for the informative info on the denizens of O.C. This is just the tip.
Auntie, may I suggest a word that goes along with unethical?
CRONYISM the appointment of friends and associates to
positions of authority, without proper regard
to their qualifications.
