Fying High

Dear Nieces and Nephews:

Last week, Stewart International Airport announced the exciting news that, right here in Orange County, we will soon have direct flights to Europe!

"But, Auntie," you say, "there is no US Customs and Immigration at Stewart!"

"Well," your Auntie says. "that is what is so clever about having Ireland as the European gateway, US Customs and Immigration has locations in Ireland so you may clear customs before you get home!"

Former OC Executive Lou Heimbach is the the chair of the commission.

This legislation established the commission

Stevie Neuhaus is also on the commission. Let's bet that he takes full credit for this accomplishment.

"Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus, a commission member, echoed Heimbach's call for 'wholehearted support' and extended it to the general public."

Is that one of the new flights already? Is that pilot wearing Navy whites?

We are looking forward to this new service and hope that many in OC will be able to take advantage of this AND hopefully the prices will remain competitive to airports such as JFK and Newark!

We also hope that a direct flight to the Bahamas is next!
