Bonelli Busted and more Steve, Eddie and Billy

Dear Nieces and Nephews:

BONELLI BUSTED!!!

How do the voters in Blooming Grove and Woodbury feel, now that their county legislator, Katie Bonelli of the 5th Legislative District has sold them out? Why is Katie overtly assisting a group of Orange County Residents who consistently seek solutions to THEIR problems at the expense of their neighbors? Could it be something as simple as funding? And why don’t the Democrats seemingly have anyone strong to run against her?

“OMG, Auntie!” you say, “How did she do that?”

She voted on the Rules Committee (which she chairs) to send the Town of North Monroe referendum  to the full legislature. If the legislature achieves super majority affirmative  vote, the Monroe voters will decide whether or not to form such a town. However, the majority of the voters in Monroe are the very ones who asked about it in the first place and therefore, will vote yes. And the neighboring municipalities (Blooming Grove and Woodbury) with no vote in the matter, will be the ones to suffer the detrimental effects. Under the guise of “letting the Monroe voters decide” she is pushing this agenda to the full legislature for a vote.
KATIE SAID “All we are doing is allowing the Monroe voters to vote on it,” http://www.midhudsonnews.com/News/2017/May/18/TNMon_OCL-18May17.html

Either Ms. Katie Bonelli did not consider or was vastly ignorant of the population make-up of Monroe or she is not running again or she needs money for hers or someone's campaign and looks to get it from the block vote of KJ.

What a coincidence!!! Her former boss, William L. Deprospo is running for Orange County judge and can surely use the campaign donations from the block vote!!! Billy is back and he is backed!!! Thanks Katie!!!
“All we are doing…” Are you that unaware of the consequences of your actions, Katie?

STEVE SINKS (to a new low)

Steve’s reaction to Michael Sussman not running for County Executive is just ridiculous, especially for someone over forty.

Steve, in his never-ending effort to exude confidence when faced with an adversary of intelligence, reverts to the trash talk he used in high school. The kind of talk he used against his table tennis adversaries before a big match. Or the kind of juvenile banter he employs when at sea. In his empty suit.

NOODLEHAUS SAID: “I think Mr. Sussman realized that his views and his interests are not in sync with the average voter and the average Orange County Democrat, I wish him luck. I hope he doesn’t continue to cost taxpayers thousands of dollars with frivolous lawsuits.”

Here’s how his reaction to Sussman’s decision was originally reported: “‘I think Mr. Sussman realized that his views and his interests are not in sync with the average voter and the average Orange County Democrat,’ Neuhaus said. The incumbent said public opinion of Sussman ranked him lower than sewer treatment plants and life altering diseases. ‘I wish him luck. I hope he doesn’t continue to cost taxpayers thousands of dollars with frivolous lawsuits.’” http://blogs.hudsonvalley.com/fray/

Does “frivolous lawsuit” include Valley View? How “presidential” of you, Noodlehaus!

Now, why would the MidHudsonNews.com remove that sentence after a few hours? Censorship?

Mr Sussman is correct, we need him where he is right now.
EDDIE’S ELOCUTION

EDDIE SAID: “I believe that public service and serving the people through being an elected official, I think, is the utmost in giving back to the community in which you were born and raised, It’s like coming back to home.http://www.midhudsonnews.com/News/2017/May/18/Diana_run-18May17.html

Eddie, 3 and ½ years ago, you “retired” * from public life when you were recuperating from your “liver problems”. You should stay retired. Wallkill does not need your Chicken Little “The sky is falling” style of governance any more than the County did. Are you going to utilize your previous style of budgeting for the Town? Will you attempt to destroy town departments in an effort to privatize them? Rent a Cop? Water/Sewer workers in the help wanted section of the THR? Or will you just sit there talking incessantly about how the rest of the board is messed up?

BTW he was born in Middletown, not Wallkill”; coming home” really means coming back to elected office.
In the article referenced above, “Diana said he would like to see a waterpark located in the town”. What? What is this obsession with water parks held by Dan Depew, Maureen Hallahan of OC Partnership and now Eddie? Why do they want a water park?

Eddie and friends, you already have a water park nearby, it’s called the Delaware River. And it is natural, no construction needed. Beautiful and fun.

Eddie, why did you recently have a big fundraiser recently when you have $350K in your emperor’s war chest?

That sure does buy a lot of friends, Emperor Eddie. And who are they, the ones giving him more money when he has more than is needed for a Town Supervisor race?

*retired means being on the board for the Orange County Industrial Development Agency during this time period. http://www.ocnyida.com/about-us/board-members/

Auntie’s Amblings:

If the Democrats do not have anyone strong to run for the CE Seat, OC Judge** and legislative spots, maybe they should start recruiting. Not all of the Republican and Independence Party members of the county are idiots. And some of the Republicans may be so “Trumped” that they were thinking of changing parties anyway.

You voters should not forget what these “elected officials” have done.

Because we won’t.

BTW Who is it we saw ambling about in the Village of Montgomery the other day? Orange County’s next “compromise”?

**Bill Deprospo is the only candidate for Orange County Court Justice. Is justice to be served with a former Chairman of a political party (and one still deeply entrenched in partisan politics) serving as Judge? Justice candidates are supposed to avoid engaging in political activity except for the purposes of their own campaign. Did Billy show up at any fundraisers lately? Wasn’t he at Eddies?

Perhaps if people who bemoan a lack of candidates would step up and run for office instead, things would change. An awful lot of armchair QB's in this county.

The "bemoaners" may not be qualified or do not want to run, but that does not stop their right as VOTERS to Comment.
Why don't you see for yourself, "armchair criticizer", just how easy it is to go against the large campaign war chests available to the "entrenched".
Why not run for Wallkill Supervisor against the $300,000 that Ed Diana has available.

Didn't say they couldn't or shouldn't comment, just that it's easy to complain and criticize. Opportunities abound for citizens to step up and run for office - from town board all the way up. Yet people don't. The better question is why?

1:06 pm truer words were never said. OC politics is so corrupt it is pathetic that ordinary citizens do not stand a chance against what has become the biggest disgrace of our time... a group of very rich, connected politicians who are running rough shod over the taxpayers. These people on this blog spell it out over and over and yes, we all complain and sit back and do nothing. WHY !!!! God knows we have enough groups, have a zillion meetings and still nothing is accomplished. Now we have people running for office that are a disgrace, running unopposed, and everyone knows to just sit back in their armchairs. Just read the recent smear posts on FB on a man who is not even running. And ask yourself why people already in office are not endorsing people who want to run and are discouraging them instead. Great opportunities if you are a MEMBER of the team.

The NEW OCGB looks like a cheap trailer next to a copy of the Rudolph Bldg. Whoever designed this monstrosity should hang their head in shame. Talk about state of the art. Really fits in with the character of Goshen. Really, it does. Totally mundane and confused.

Is there any way to bring a corruption probe here? Like what we had with Waywayanda Power plant? Is it impossible to defeat these crooks?
