Goshen on a Friday or "Hoovler's Headache"

On Fridays in the summer, Goshen hosts the farmer's market on the green outside the stately church.  Last Friday, the bucolic scene of local farmers vending their wares was disturbed by the sounds of Town of Goshen police cars (2) and an OC Sheriff’s deputy car careening towards the scene of a domestic dispute. They were followed by another car, police like in nature, approaching the scene. 

Rumors abound that the domestic dispute was between an Orange County ADA and spouse.

The car, police like in nature was, we later learned, manned by none other than “Hoovler’s Friend” the newly appointed Chief Investigator for the DA’s office, who was forthwith dispatched to the scene.

Auntie and the team hope that this matter is being referred to the specialized prosecution unit responsible for domestic violence, the "Special Victims Unit", so there no appearance of impropriety.

Per The OC DA’s website:

Special Victims Unit: This unit prosecutes all felony cases involving sex crimes, domestic violence, kidnapping, crimes committed against the elderly, child abuse and child pornography, and crimes involving victims with mental or physical handicaps.

Please note: It is not routine for the DA’s Chief Investigator to investigate domestic disputes.
