RATatatouille
Ratatouille: Word Origin from the French, "touiller" to stir, from Latin "tudiculāre", "tudes" hammer; it is a vegetable stew originating in Provence.
Oh! Dear nieces and nephews this applies in so many ways!
First in the stew is the minority leader of the OC legislature, who protested having the picture of a rat in juxtaposition to his picture. He has unleashed a criticism of blog sites and the internet in general. However, he does have the option to avail himself of this form of communication by posting on his own site. There, he may dispute that he is considering changing his vote regarding Valley View. And, after all, it appears that his site hasn't been updated since 2009, maybe it's time to do so! So, here is our response to Jeff (with thanks to Shakespeare):
Dear Jeff:
(We) "...thinks thou doth protest too much". All you have to do is NOT vote to sell Valley View! End of Story.

The next ingredient in the stew is the sometimes charming Pat O. host of the Friday show on the all-neuhaus-all-the-time radio station (a radio station managed by someone who may be worthy of Auntie's interest at a later date, something our investigators will en-joy!) Pat made a feeble and somewhat disingenuous attempt to diffuse the RAT moniker. When Jeff called in the show, he really did not dispel the notion.
We all know that Pat did not support the democratic party candidate for County Executive and we all know about her thinly veiled support for Stevie Thunder. Do you know what this gets her? ...wait for it...
Tada!
And now we mix in a little hoovler into our ratatouille, enough to give flavor to the new police force that he is garnering. (Top Cop Dave is still trying to justify his photo op re: drug arrests. He should give it a rest before he embarrasses himself any further). And what is really a sign of his amassing control, as part of the Neuhaus Club, is how he disposed of someone in his investigation unit with uber qualifications; someone that would probably see the inconsistencies in what Top Cop Dave is doing now. (BTW, this "someone" was the Former Acting Superintendent of the NYS Police and former Field Commander for the NYS Police; OC was lucky to have him!)
In the DA's office we have the following:
County Court Bureau with several specialized units:
Violent Crimes Unit, Special Victims Unit, Special Investigations Unit, Narcotics and Gun Unit, General Crimes Unit, Forfeiture and Revenue Crimes Unit and Grand Jury Unit
Appeals Bureau Executive: ADA and undisclosed staff numbers
Special Projects and Community Affairs Bureau: Executive ADA and undisclosed staff numbers
Local Court Bureau: two supervisors and twelve misdemeanor Assistant District Attorneys
Staff Investigators Unit: unit consists of eleven District Attorney’s Investigators
Lotsa ADA's, lotsa investigators.
99 drug arrests.
Can't the multitude of employees in the DA's office arrest at least one drug seller each to bring the numbers to at least 100?
It's a good thing OC can get rid of some of the Social Services employees to help pay for these investigators that are probably making far less money than the Social Services employees (with their already overburdened case load) currently earn. (Surely, our loyal nieces and nephews recognize the overt sarcasm)
And the last ingredient for today's stew some STEVIE THUNDER. We add Steve to not only spice it up but to provide comic relief for our mental palate! Look at this from the on line news; midhudsonneuhaus.com
STEVE SAID: “I just authorized our ME’s office to teach at the college and we are also in talks with Tony Danza to move our medical examiner’s office to the former Horton Hospital site to allow a better facility than we have now, What better marriage than to have students working with us. It’s going to be a cost-saving plan.”
Oh Steve! there is so much here that you have not apparently considered, such as the liability issues, chain of custody issues and the slave labor issues (OK, we are kidding with that one) but you are making a big announcement about something that is not even close to fruition! And besides, the talks with Mr. Danza could go awry if he doesn't know (we know this is bad but can't resist...) who's the boss? Steve, with whom are your next negotiations? Jan Brady?
So we have a County Government that is:
The acts of a dictator!
RATS!

So we have a County Government that is:
- controlling the media
- criticizing anyone who does not "go-along"
- creating/expanding a police force outside of the generally accepted versions (town, village and sheriff)
- engaging in illegal acts, such as acting contrary to a Supreme Court decision. (Executive branch ignoring Judicial Branch, no more checks and balances!)
The acts of a dictator!
RATS!
