TOP COP DAVE and some quick notes on Steve

David Hoovler, District Attorney for the County of Orange, boldly proclaims success with his war on drugs, eight months into his term. You won the war already? Wow!

Focus is on the 3 cities Newburgh, Middletown and Port Jervis, with plans to expand to the towns.

We are glad that you will expand the "war". If you been reading the paper, you know that the towns do indeed have a problem with drug use and sales as well! (The real paper, not the online All-neuhaus-all-the-time online newspaper along with the All-neuhaus-all-the-time radio. OMG! Isn’t that what dictators do as their first step? Control the media?)

Percentages can be deceiving. Pretend you need four apples and you have one apple. Someone offers to double your apple supply, which sounds impressive but it brings your apple supply to 2 apples. What percent increase is that? Who cares? You have two apples and you needed 4. Same thing with increasing numbers from 33 to 99. Impressive as a percentage increase but look at the raw numbers. In a county of over 250,000 people Hoovler is proud of the increase to 99 drug arrests. (A whopping 0.0396% of the county population) We thought there was a heroin epidemic! If that's true, Dave, you have more work to do.

Don't get us wrong, it is a good thing to stem the tide of drug abuse, but stop using it as a selling point for your office. Dave, you are supposed to be doing this as part of your job; this is not an extra effort on your part deserving of extraordinary praise. And certainly, it is not finished just because you had another photo op!!!

And let's hope you follow through with this, unlike your "war on fraud". If my dear nieces and nephews recall, about 30 or so were "caught", mostly Hispanic or African-American. Betcha there are more than 30 fraudsters out there Davie! Care to look into a village in SE Orange?

Quick note to the County Executive:
STOP using Golden Hill as a model for why we should sell Valley View!!!! Different circumstances, different facilities, different people!!! NOT a valid comparison. Apples v Oranges. And it is starting to get annoying.

Also the data for Golden Hill is from 9-30-2013 whereas the data available for Valley View is from 4-15-14.

Neuhaus doesn't do anything worthy of good coverage so he just slithers his way into some. Biggest political hack Orange County has ever seen.

I would like to comment on the above but I just got bit by one of the West Nile mosquitoes from Mathews street. Why isn't that obvious health hazard being covered by the media? Neuhaus can't even take care of some old tires. Maybe we should call Dave Hoovler so he can indite the tires, or even better indite the mosquitoes for assault.
