Babblethon Continues
On The All-Neuhaus-All-the-Time radio station, the babble-thon continues. Auntie will point out just a few little pearls, because there were just toooo many.
On Monday, Steve
highlighted the new communications system for the county, complete with new
towers to be installed.
Must be really
expensive.
Interesting choice
for someone who cries about the deficit all the time. But don't worry, we can
pay for it from the proceeds of the Valley View sale, just like we will pay for
everything else. (We must be getting a good $70 million for VV, judging from
all of the things for which it will pay.)
Stevie Thunder
also praised the CSEA, because at least they are fighting for their jobs, not
like the DPW or the Department of Social Services. (Is that what he wants? Or,
maybe he expects them to beg?)
At one point, the
Loquacious Langdon, spoke up to chide a legislator for their critique of the VV
sale, claiming the legislator is only grandstanding for a senate run. Remember,
this is the attorney that was critical of a former client, Ulster County, when
he spoke of their limited chance of attracting a casino. Perhaps LL needs to be
reminded of the ABA rules, for example, Rule
1.9 Duties To Former Clients. (Do we really need to reproduce the rule here
for your review LL?)
And the fund (oops.
we meant fun) continues on All-Neuhaus-All-the-Time Radio with Karl Brabenec on
Tuesdays.
Nothing new
really.
The state is a
mess (despite the Comptroller's recent report)
Everyone's leaving
in droves (Thinking about it are you Karl?)
And he was waiting
for his "special guest"
When it came time
for answering a caller's well-presented question on annexation, Karl took a
page from the “deflect-deflect manual”, bringing the topic around to his
talking points above. When the caller did a brilliant yet polite job of
bringing it back to annexation, Karl was for home rule (as a State Assemblyman
he would not be able to do anything because of home rule and therefore would
not answer the annexation question) and against home rule when he lauded Steve’s
suggestion that the county take over for local municipalities in the annexation
issue. (We don't think he even understood that he would be in favor of
suspending home rule if the County became lead agency in the annexation issue.)
This type of
vacillation is learned at the foot of his guru, Nan from the little house in
Chester. Nan was his "special guest" and managed to arrive just five
minutes before the show ended.
Maybe Nan was late
because she was rearranging the furniture in her doll house, the little house
in Chester. Let’s take a look at who resides therein:
We have Stevie
Thunder who plays farmer with his beehives; Baby Karl B who is looking forward
to maturity, so he can start dating and learn the meaning of the word
annexation; Little Dain P who is being tutored by his Uncle Billy in nursing
home sales and management; Ling Ling Landon who misplaced his law books but now
is being tutored by a Harvard law school graduate. And further along the legal
trail that stops at the door of the doll house, we have Top Cop Dave, the
scourge of social services/Medicaid fraud- except in KJ. (Maybe his
investigative style was learned from the Diana appointee for investigating Medicaid
fraud: William L. Deprospo.) And, don’t let us forget the Puppet master with
the acid–laced tongue.
Interestingly,
there are rooms for rent. Just apply at the little dollhouse in Chester, especially
if you would like to learn complete ideology and the requisite buzzwords. After
all, why would anyone need to engage their mind by THINKING?
Oops, gotta go
now, Stevie just got stung by a bee...
